Jakarta, Indonesia – Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 has officially opened, once again reaffirming its position as the largest textile and garment exhibition in Southeast Asia. The event was attended by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita; Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmadja; Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Printing Community, Usman Batu Bara; AFTEX delegates; and other distinguished VIP guests.
In his remarks, the Chairman of API highlighted that 2026 begins amid a dynamic global landscape, marked by geopolitical tensions, trade disruptions, and shifting supply chains. He emphasized that in facing these challenges, the textile and textile products (TPT) industry must continue to become more efficient, adaptive, and forward-looking. Despite these conditions, the industry has demonstrated strong resilience and remains a strategic sector, employing millions, supporting national industrialization, and connecting the value chain from upstream to downstream.
Meanwhile, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita underlined that the performance of Indonesia’s TPT industry remains solid. In 2025, the sector recorded a growth of 3.55% year-on-year, with export values reaching USD 12.08 billion and a trade surplus of USD 3.45 billion. In this context, Indo Intertex – Inatex 2026 is increasingly relevant and strategic, not only as an exhibition but also as a key momentum to accelerate the strengthening of the national TPT industry.
Furthermore, the exhibition serves as a business matching platform, connecting domestic and international industry players and opening wider opportunities for partnerships and investment. Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 showcases the latest innovations across the textile value chain, including sustainable machinery, eco-friendly products, recycling technologies, energy efficiency solutions, and AI-driven innovations that support the industry’s digital transformation. In addition to the exhibition, a series of featured programs are also being held, including industry-focused seminars, business workshops, and various interactive activities presented by exhibitors and partners.
This year, the exhibition features 428 TPT companies, with domestic industry participation reaching 65%. Meanwhile, local textile machinery manufacturers account for 60% of participation, reflecting the strong contribution and readiness of national industry players in driving sector growth. Through Indo Intertex – Inatex 2026, it is expected that stronger collaboration among industry stakeholders will be fostered, further reinforcing Indonesia’s position as a key player in the global textile industry
